King Randall, I. has done exceptional work in his community of Albany, Georgia. He opened up a school for young adolescent boys The Life Preparatory School for Boys established in 2022. Randall opened up the school at just 23 Years Old. Now 25 Years Old, Randall is still a pillar of his community and still teaching young boys life skills and job skills with his program X For Boys.
Randall has been very vocal on recent topics of Job Corps closing down all over the nation and being phased out starting June 30th. This leaves many youth, labeled “troubled youth,” without a place for housing and career/job training that has helped so many people get on the right path.
Randall is being judged on publicly supporting the Trump Administration during the Presidential Election of 2020 and 2024. He’s also mentioned during interviews that he reached out to the previous Biden Administration for funding for his school with no answer. This raises a question if Community Leaders should publicly support Presidential Administrations or even announce their party affiliation and the dangers of the two.
Randall’s school for boys was destroyed he shared on his YouTube channel back in 2023. He said that it was “broken into, looted and destroyed,” on June 18, 2023. He is asking the public for donations to help his school reopen.
We can ask ourselves if Randall has become a target for wanting to do better by his community and also voicing he voted for current President Donald J. Trump whom is currently facing public scrutiny for Immigrant Deportation, dismantling Federal Funded programs to leave it up to the State and City Governments for funding and more in a short period of time.
When Randall went on Roland Martin’s show Roland Martin Unfiltered back in 2021, Martin grilled him on his political affiliation and if he voted for Trump during the previous election back in 2020 which Trump lost to President Biden. Randall went on Fox News as well as other platforms and was able to receive funding for his school by donors.
Martin most recently brought up the video that Randall posted asking for Federal funding to help Job Corps. Martin publicly slammed him bringing up the 2021 interview with Randall. Randall seems to be contradicting himself after saying as Community Leaders we need to “do for self,” meaning not waiting for a Government handout but is currently asking for Government support for the dismantling of Job Corps.
